Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need a doctor’s referral to attend physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is direct access, you do not need a prescription to book an appointment. However, if you have extended health care benefits, they may have a prescription requirement. It is always a good idea to contact your insurance company to ensure that you have everything you need for coverage.

  • How long do my appointments last?

Your first visit will last between 45-60 minutes, and follow-up treatments will last about 30-45 minutes. Some treatment sessions may require additional time.

  • How do I pay?

We can direct bill to most insurance companies. Most extended health care and employee health plans cover some or all costs associated with physiotherapy and massage therapy. It’s best to call your provider and inquire about your coverage.

Motor vehicle accidents and WCB claims are 100% covered once approved by the insurance company.

We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard and cash.

  • What is the cancellation policy of the clinic?

We require 24 hours notice for the cancellation of your appointment.

  • What should I expect during my first appointment?

You will experience a friendly, caring and relaxed environment, starting from when you fill out a patient intake form. You will then have a one-on-one assessment with your physiotherapist, who will conduct a thorough history and assessment. Your condition/injury will be explained to you and your goals will be discussed. This is followed by treatment so that you can immediately benefit from your experience.

  • What do I need to bring with me? How should I dress?

Please bring your Alberta Personal Heath Card, extended health benefits card, and any test reports or other medical documentation that is relevant to your condition/appointment.

If your condition is related to a work injury or an auto accident, we require your case manager’s name and contact information, your claim number, and your extended health benefits information.

If your problem is related to any accessories, feel free to bring those with you. Our physiotherapists sometimes find it useful to analyze specific footwear, backpacks/bags, photos of your work station, etc.

Wear loose-fitting clothing appropriate for the problem area to be assessed and treated. We can also provide you with a gown to wear.

We ask that you please arrive 15 minutes early to complete your intake forms.

  • Do you have a senior’s rate?

We offer a discounted rate for senior’s initial assessment.

  • Is your clinic accessible for wheelchairs and scooters?
